How we handle data
- Yield data comes from public official variety trials run by land-grant universities, summarized as relative yield (% of trial average).
- Trait and rating information comes from seed-company publications. Because companies use different rating scales, we normalize to 1–9 (9 = best) and note the original scale.
- Data is refreshed each season after trial reports are published, typically late fall through winter.
- Spot an error? Tell us — corrections are reviewed quickly.
